45 Acre Habitat Park with Eco Friendly Soccer Fields

Coming Soon:

Colton’s Newest Eco-Friendly Park and Sports Complex

Big things are on the horizon for South Colton! Thanks to an $18 million grant from the State of California, the City is moving forward with plans to develop a 42-acre park that blends recreation, environmental stewardship, and community wellness.

Located off Congress Street, this future park will offer something for everyone—including:

  • Protected habitat areas to support native plants and wildlife

  • Play spaces for all ages

  • Walking and nature trails

  • Multi-use sports fields for soccer, football, and rugby.

Currently in the planning and environmental review phase, City staff is working closely with local regulatory agencies to ensure a thoughtful and sustainable approach. Groundbreaking is anticipated in early 2027.

Stay tuned for updates as we bring this exciting new space to life—one that celebrates Colton’s open space, athletic spirit, and natural beauty all in one!
