American Red Cross Lifeguarding and Title 22 Certification Courses

Learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with the American Red Cross lifeguard training and certification course. This course equips you with the skills and knowledge to respond to a variety of scenarios in and around the water, and helps prevent drownings and injuries. 

You will also earn:

  • Lifeguarding Certification

  • CPR/AED for Lifeguards

  • Title 22 First Aid for Public Safety Personnel

Who Can Join?

  • Students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class

  • Students must pass a pre-course swimming skills test prior to the course

  • Students must attend all class sessions – no exceptions

  • Refunds will not be granted for failed prerequisites or skills assessments

Ages: 15 & older
Fee: Residents: $200 | Non-Residents: $250
Location: Gonzales Community Center Pool, 670 Colton Avenue

Class Schedule:

  • Friday, May 15, 2026 | 4:00 – 9:30 p.m.

  • Saturday, May 16, 2026 | 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

  • Sunday, May 17, 2026 | 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

  • Friday, May 22, 2026 | 4:00 – 9:30 p.m.

  • Saturday, May 23, 2026 | 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.

*There will be a 1-hour lunch break for each Saturday and Sunday class. Attendance to all dates is required.
