Residential Bulky Item Collection Service

Each single-family residential household will be entitled to up to eight bulky item curbside pick-ups per year, with a maximum of four items per pick-up. Customers may bundle more than four items per pick-up as long as they don’t exceed 32 items per year. 

Bulky items are picked up by CR&R at the curb of your home by appointment only:

Free Mattress Disposal

The City of Colton waste hauler CR&R has joined the Mattress Recycling Council’s Bye Bye Mattress program collection as a site participant. Residents can now bring an unlimited amount of mattresses to the City’s Disposal site located at 2059 E Steel Rd. CR&R will accept old mattresses and box springs from Colton Residents for free.

Free Carpet Disposal

CR&R now offers carpet and padding disposal at 2059 E. Steel Road (Monday-Friday 8 am-4 pm). No charge for Colton residents for the first two rolls with proof of ID. Colton businesses will receive a reduced rate. For more information, click here (opens in a new tab).

Community Dump Days - Including Shredding

Community dump days are offered 4 times per year as a drive-by event for residential customers only.

Dates: April & October every 2nd Saturday. 
Time: 8:00 am last car at 11:30 am
Location: Gonzales Community Center 670 Colton Ave

Dates: January & July every 4th Saturday. 
Time: 8:00 am last car at 11:30 am
Location: CR & R Yard Colton 2059 E Steel Rd.

NOTE:

  • No construction or household hazardous waste is accepted.

  • Commercial Trucks bringing business trash will be denied.

  • Residents must bring their current City of Colton Utility Bill and a photo ID proving residency in Colton.

Additional Services at Community Dump Days:

Paper shredding: Not to exceed four banker boxes in content

Tire Recycling: A maximum of four noncommercial tires with no rims will be accepted per dump day. Not eligible for repeat trips.
