Colton Electric Utility has been made aware of a scam in which customers are being contacted by phone or text and told to make an immediate payment using a barcode at 7-Eleven.

Colton Electric Utility will never demand immediate payment or threaten to shut off your electricity by phone or text.

If you receive a suspicious message or are unsure if a communication is legitimate, please contact us directly at 909-370-5104.

New Changes to Power Cost Adjustment (PCA)

  • Effective July 1, 2025:
    The PCA will be reduced from $0.085 to $0.04 per kWh, helping lower your monthly energy costs.
  • Effective October 2025:

    New electric rates will go into effect, and the PCA reduced to $0.00 per kWh.
