Cart Exchange FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) about Colton’s Upcoming Residential Cart Exchange and Delivery Program
- Q: When will CR&R start to deliver the new residential carts to Colton households?
- A: Cart delivery will begin in the Fall of 2025. This is a different date than originally scheduled due to vendor supply chain/production schedule changes. Dates are approximate. CR&R has no control over vendor supply chain issues.
- Q: Will customers be charged for the new carts?
- A: No, your new carts are being provided at no additional cost.
- Q: Will the monthly rate be different for a set of 96-gallon carts vs. a set of 64-gallon carts?
- A: No, the monthly rate will be the same for either size cart.
- Q: Are all the old carts, or currently used carts, being removed?
- A: Yes, CR&R will remove all old carts left out at the curb or in the alley ways after they deliver your new carts. All of this will be done at no additional charge. Once new carts are delivered, your old carts will no longer be serviced. Please leave them out for removal.
- Q: Where will new carts be delivered to?
- A: All new carts will be delivered to the front of each house, curbside. Delivering to the front of each house will allow CR&R to verify correct addresses.
- Q: Why do I need to place my carts out at curb?
- A: The delivery drivers will need to see each address before the delivery is completed in order to verify completion.
- Q: What is the current size of my residential carts?
- A: 64-gallon carts.
- Q: What will the new standard residential cart size be in the City of Colton when new carts are delivered?

- Q: What happens if I don’t return a cart survey card by March 14, 2025?
